lockdown/ vanitas/ still a-life
2019
lockdown wasn't easy for anyone. Do you remember the fights over loo rolls? The "ONE PER CUSTOMER" notices on dried and canned foods. A time when the weekly food shop was a military mission.
It wasn't all doom and gloom, some actually enjoyed the family time they wouldn't have had.
Dog sales were sky high as people felt the need to have a reason to leave the house.
Where are we now one set of restrictions have lifted?
ACCOMPANIED by the cost of fuel almost doubling in 6 months and energy companies bribing people to not consume... what is normal?
It's not over yet, not by a long shot.
This is part of a series of images I made over the lockdown period.
boredom.
Separation from normality.
Still life images of some special things at the time.
